David Hockney

David Hockney has now embraced new technology by using iPads to create work which is bright and colour but still has the same detail as his paintings which reflects ideas he has explored in artwork that are not digital. He also uses new technology to engage with others on a personal level by sending his drawings to friends and family through email and text.
The video tells of the work in relation to media and the highlights of displaying the work in an exhibition context. However people have said that it could ruin the gallery/exhibition experience as people may be less interested to view work that could be viewed online.

Here is a video that shows some of those unique drawings:

Paolo Cirio

Paolo Cirio was born in 1979 and is an artist that uses new media, and is known for his controversial and innovative artworks. He has won several international awards, exhibited in famous museums and art institutions worldwide. His work deals with various issues related to the rise of digital media in genres such as copyright, privacy, transparency, finance and advertising.
He finds life-sized pictures of people that are found on Google’s Street view and were printed and posted without the person’s approval at the same spot where they were taken. The posters are printed in colour on thin paper, cut along the outline and then fixed with wheat-paste on the walls of public buildings at the same spot where the person appeared in Google’s street view image.
